The Khathi family
Gugu Khathi, a stunning woman, is DJ Tira’s wife. Although Gugu Khathi is primarily recognized by the public as DJ Tira’s wife, she is much more than that and has a long list of achievements to her credit. She is a businesswoman with a passion for the real estate sector, as well as a keynote and TEDx speaker.
Gugu Khathi is a former cast member of the Real Housewives of Johannesburg, a reality television personality, and a social media influencer. One of the most popular celebrity couples in South Africa is DJ Tira and Gugu Khathi. Every time the two go out, they do it in elegance and frequently set the bar for desirable couples.
In October 2016, after almost 18 years of relationship, Gugu Khathi and DJ Tira successfully concluded their wedding ceremonies. To introduce Gugu to DJ Tira’s ancestors, the couple held their Umabo ritual. At DJ Tira’s residence in Kwa Hlabisa, Kwa-Zulu Natal, the event took place.
The Umabo, which takes place at the end of a wedding ceremony in Zulu culture, is when the bride and her family meet the family of the groom and present them with gifts. DJ Tira and his wife looked extremely lovely at their Umabo ceremony because they went with a black and white theme for their traditional attire and cake.
Junior, Chase, and Gigi are DJ Tira’s three gorgeous children, which he and his wife were blessed with. The pair adores their kids, and despite their hectic schedules, they both find time to spend with them. Although they generally avoid posting pictures of their kids online, when they do, they frequently win the hearts of their followers.
Gugu Khathi clears the air on Divorce rumours
Gugu Khathi, a businesswoman, motivational speaker, and social media influencer who is primarily known as the wife of Dj Tira, has been popular on timelines for purportedly clearing up any misunderstandings over her marriage, which had been the subject of rumors. The entrepreneur made it clear to the media that they are still much in love and that they are not getting a divorce.Gugu told the outlet that because she arrived late to the South African Music Awards, people imagined there was trouble in paradise (SAMAs). Which makes sense considering that she came alone and not with her husband.
“We are still fine, we are still happy. I don’t know where they’d get that from. Maybe it was because I was late to the SAMAs. There is nothing there. I don’t think we have issues that could be putting us in a situation where we’re even considering [divorce]. So, no. I don’t know what they thought they saw, but I bet it was because I was late at the SAMAs and someone spotted something,” she said.
The Durbanite’s wife then clarified that although they are geographically separate one lives in Johannesburg and the other in Durban they are still married. Their relationship is still very intertwined. She continued by saying that their marriage and love were still going strong.
“We are still very much happily in love and happily married. We’ve never stayed in the same house. I stay in Joburg, he stays in Durban and it’s always been like that. He comes to Joburg to our home where our kids are, because I work in Joburg full time … we’ve always had a home in Joburg and we’ve always had homes in Durban, so nothing has changed,” she expressed. So as she has said, there is no divorce. Those were just rumours that meant nothing.
