Coach Mosimane lately has not been enjoying the full support of the club fans as some of the club legends were not happy with his performance and they were calling for his release from the club. Ex-Al Ahly and Pharaohs defender Gomaa, who made 345 appearances for the 42-time Egyptian Premier League winners, was frustrated with the team’s performance in their 1-1 draw in Cairo and suggested Mosimane should be replaced when the CAF campaign has concluded. “I’d like to congratulate Al Ahly for qualifying, they earned it at the first leg, but tonight, the performance was not convincing, Mosimane’s management of the game was poor. Al Ahly should have attacked more, they have higher quality players than Raja “he said.
Pitsos’s carboard of trophies with the red devils looks decorative with him winning 2 CAF Champions League trophies, 2 CAF Super Cups, 1 Egyptian Premier League trophy, and 2 FIFA Club World Cup Bronze with Al Ahly in 2 years.
