“My heart is sore. I am hurt. There was an article written about me. Usually, I don’t care, I won’t explain but this time … certain things can be damaging,” he said. Following the completion of his divorce from his estranged husband Mohale Motaung, the publication reported that the wedding will purportedly take place in September.
The “Idols SA” judge said to his 4.3 million followers that his primary concern with the article was linking him to a married man whose family was expanding.
“There’s a story about me that I am getting married and a wedding is in plan and I’ve paid 1.5 million lobola to Pholoso. I don’t have an issue with that because I’m used to people writing sh*t about me. They only got one thing right, I know Pholosho. Pholosho is married, he’s got a wife who’s pregnant and we are just friends”. The multi-talented individual then made people chuckle as he discussed the effects of his real love life, which seems very hectic. Mhlongo claimed that he and his two companions were in a contentious position.
“They are causing conflict in my relationships. I have two people that I was dating, one has money and the other doesn’t have money but I have to explain to these two people what’s going on,” he shared.“And I was still going to choose between the two of them. The obvious case is that I am going to choose the one with money but I have to be decent and tell him first that I was going to leave him. Now he’s left me first because of the City Press story. City Press ruined my plan,” he said.
Mhlongo and Mohlala first gained attention in April when the star of Living the Dream With Somizi and media personality Dineo Ranaka hosted a 26th birthday celebration for his new partner at the Just Cuban restaurant in Hatfield, Pretoria.
On his social media platforms and during episodes of his reality television show, the former Metro FM DJ has been dropping hints about his impending nuptials.
Mhlongo published a six-second video clip in April on his Instagram page, which he later deleted, in which he and another male figure could be seen holding hands and donning engagement rings covered in diamonds. One of the biggest highlights of season five, Â was “That I’m getting married,” which he revealed in the show’s last episode.
Mhlongo and Motaung were married for a year, and they are now going through a divorce. A tell-all program featuring Motaung that will air on Showmax on August 4 will address the charges of physical and mental abuse that have rocked their divorce. As he presently appears in the Mzansi Magic soap opera The Queen, Mohlala is a force to be reckoned with in his own way. The actor from Pretoria previously played Thabang in the Isidingo television series. He is said to be the founder of 012 Gin SA and a wealthy alcohol sector businessman.
