The city of Cape Town is thrilled to host the formerly known African Utility Week and POWERGEN Africa, taking place from the 7th to the 9th of June 2022 at CTICC Cape Town, South Africa. Eskom, the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy together with the City of Cape Town have been key stakeholders in the previous seatings and 2022 is no exception.
Enlit Africa will today begin its festival of ideas world-class exhibition showcasing the latest technology and services on offer in the sector. Known for its compelling content and speakers. The theme for this year’s event – Collaboration to fast forward Africa’s energy transition – Part of the conference will be in focus on alternative funding mechanisms and public-private partnerships will address some of the questions around the financial muscle of the enterprises that require financial help and the roundtable will provide details on impact investment and importance of the question of risk allocation.
The event is organized by one of the leading exhibition companies from Western Cape called Vuka Group (formerly Clarion Events Africa), a multi-award-winning organizer of exhibitions, conferences, and digital events across the continent in the infrastructure, energy, mining, mobility, e-commerce and CX sectors.
This company is also responsible for organizing such conferences and exhibition across the African Continent. Some of the well-known events they have successfully organized include DRC Mining Week, Africa Mining Forum, Nigeria Mining Week, Smarter Mobility Africa, ECOM, and CEM Africa.
SANEDI’s Manager for Renewable Energy, Dr. Karen Surridge will be moderating the discussion on “Your Business’ Carbon Footprint” on 9 June 2022 at the Enlit Africa (formerly African Utility Week & POWERGEN Africa) and Experts in Commercial & Industrial Power, Engineering, Procurement & Construction, representatives from Utilities & Municipalities, and Independent Power Producers are some of the expected stakeholders who will be exploring how Africa’s abundant natural resources can be utilized to improve lives and uplift communities.
