The Northern suburbs of Gauteng-based Cruise Vacations, a local women-owned and led boutique cruise travel service, has been nominated for Africa’s Best Cruise Travel Agency in the 2nd Annual World Cruise Awards. After the travel and tourism industry was destroyed by the Covid-19 pandemic, the agency achieved a momentous feat with its recovery.
Cruise Vacations was praised for maintaining full operations despite the various difficulties the epidemic presented and for making sure that all displaced guests had been rebooked or reimbursed within three months of cancellation, as well as for protecting the travel agent’s profit.
